Pierre Overnoy (Emmanuel Houillon) Arbois Pupillin Savagnin 2016 (75cl)
96 WA
"I tasted the spectacular 2016 Arbois Pupillin Savagnin double blind and thought it was a Ganevat. It has the precision and focus from the finest vintages with great freshness and acidity. Now bottled and labeled, the wine has retained the best characteristics it had before bottling, and it seems to have gained focus and feels very relaxed and harmonious. The nose is expressive and shows youth but also subtle complexity, hints of white flowers and a spicy twist. The palate is vibrant and nicely textured, and while it has plenty of acidity, it is very nicely integrated. The flavors are pure and the finish very long and supple, with an almost salty touch in the aftertaste. Lip smacking!" - Luis Gutierrez, Wine Advocate (Jun 2019)
