17.5 - Julia Harding MW, jancisrobinson.com
"Mid to deep purplish crimson. The aroma is quite similar to the Indigène 2020 in its dusty dark-red fruit purity but it's a little riper and richer on the nose with a more rounded texture, perhaps due to the older oak component but also thanks to lower acidity (though it is still very fresh). As it opens, you notice the whole-bunch component more in a herbal/stemmy (but not green) aroma. Pure and scented with tangy Gamay fruit, just a little bit sweeter and redder than in the Indigène. The tannins are a little firmer than in the Indigène but paper fine, like layers of tissue paper, adding their own sort of freshness. Wonderful persistence and very elegant." - JH, jancisrobinson.com
