"Bottled in February this year, the 2017 Marienburg Fahrlay Reserve opens with a very clear, refined and elegant, flinty and yeasty bouquet that reveals concentrated white and yellow fruit and very fine sate aromas. Full-bodied and rich yet elegant on the palate, this is a powerful and dense, very concentrated and sustainable Riesling with a creamy texture and fine tannins. It is big but not bold and is not as precise and crystalline as the regular Fahrlay used to be. The wine should develop more definition and class with aeration and certainly with bottle age. Tasted at the domain in September 2020." - Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate
