Pies Negros is predominantly made from Tempranillo with a small amount of Graciano. This wine shows ripe bright red fruits and firm tannins and has a long finish. It is an excellent value wine.
Brothers Arturo and Kiki - hence Artuke - manage this Rioja estate which follows winemaking practices that are more Burgundian than is typical in the region. They focus on terroir and displaying the difference between each vineyard and parcel of grapes, as opposed to following the traditional Rioja DO classifications.
